So, its official – Pinch of Craft has joined the blogging scene! I’m super happy about how the design of the blog has turned out and a special thanks goes to my boyfriend Joe for helping with the techy bits! First of all, I must admit that I am in no-way-shape-or-form a professional blogger (or crafter) but I’m looking forward to getting stuck in with this – I can already tell this little space is going to keep me busy and out of mischief. I’m really excited to start sharing my makes with you guys and all the handy tips I’ve learnt over the past few years. I hope at one time or another you’ll feel inspired by some of my makes and even maybe give them a go!
So let me tell you a bit about my crafting lifestyle…
I currently craft from a small desk in my bedroom with boxes stacked up underneath full of card, glitter, die cutters and embossing folders. Its not ideal but it can be quite fun finding old bits and bobs when I open a box looking for one thing and find another! My boyfriend and I are currently looking to move so hopefully there will be a nice big second bedroom I can turn into my craft den soon! Ultimately though, my ideal workshop would be something that resembles a Hobby Craft store – hey, I can dream!
As I have a day job it only leaves me weekends and evenings to get creative but I still make good use of my time –making cards for family and friends and also making little tags and embellishments to sell on my Etsy Store.
It’s all super new at the moment so I’d love to hear from any of you guys who are selling your makes on Etsy and how you manage your shops and products – Do you make to order or go you find it best to know what you want to sell and you have it ready to go?
